Phnom Penh (FN), July 6 - Minister of Foreign Affairs, Prak Sokhonn, will lead a delegation on an official visit to Myanmar as a show of cooperation between the two countries, according to a MoFA press release dated Friday.
The visit is scheduled to take place from 10 to 11 July 2017 at the invitation of Aung San Suu Kyi, State Councilor and Foreign Minister of Myanmar.
During the visit, Prak Sokhonn is expected to pay a courtesy call with Myanmar President Htin Kyaw and Aung San Suu Kyi.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that Cambodia has long held ties to Myanmar and that there are historical and traditional similarities between the two.
The official visit aims to further strengthen bilateral cooperation and explore new mechanisms to enhance the existing cooperation in the bilateral and multilateral framework between the two countries.
