Phnom Penh (FN), September 5 - Pol Horm, CNRP Vice President, was appointed as acting leader of Cambodia National Rescue Party (CNRP) following Kem Sokha's arrest, according to CNRP's lawmaker Ke Sovanaroth on Tuesday.

Ke Sovanaroth confirmed that the party had yet to consider appointing the new president.

CNRP's statute stipulated that the president dies, resigns or loses their membership term, lost the ability to lead when the mandate is less than 18 months, one of the oldest vice presidents will automatically become the president.

Kem Sokha was arrested at his home in Phnom Penh at 00:35 am on Sunday by justice police.
