YANGON, Oct. 27 (Xinhua) -- No one onboard a Myanmar state-owned passenger plane was hurt in an emergency landing at Sittway Airport, northern Rakhine state Thursday evening, the official New Light of Myanmar reported Friday.

The UB-206 flight of Myanmar National Airlines (MNA), which was bound for Yangon from the state's capital of Sittway, returned to the Sittway Airport 40 minutes after it took off at 7:15 p.m. local time, due to airflow into the pilot's cabin.

After necessary repairs, the plane left again for Yangon at 9:00 p.m. local time.

The plane carried a total of 97 local and outbound passengers.
