Siem Reap (FN), October 30 - Cambodia Angkor Air Airlines launched its first direct flight from Hong Kong to Siem Reap on Sunday with around 100 passengers.

Cambodia Angkor Air Vice CEO, Lim Kao, said the launch of this flight is due to the potential tourists in Hong Kong and they may wish to fly straight to Siem Reap.

He said the direct flights from Siem Reap to Hong Kong takes place in the morning and from Hong Kong to Siem Reap is in the afternoon.

Cambodia Angkor Air began operations in 2009. Currently, the airline has six planes flying over 10 destinations including domestic and international destinations.

He added that this airline will increase its flights to more destinations in 2020, with a plan to upgrade twelve passenger aircrafts, four ATRs and eight Airbus aircraft.
