Phnom Penh (FN), November 3 - A "Damrey" storm is to hit Cambodia from November 4 to 6, 2017 and that will bring rainfall in some provinces, according to the Ministry of Water Resources and Meteorology's announcement on Friday.

The ministry said that those affected areas are Phnom Penh, Kandal, Kampong Speu, Kampong Chhnang, Kampot, Kep, Preah Sihanouk, Svay Rieng, Tbong Khmum, and Kampong Thom Province.

The ministry has called for people to increase their vigilance, especially those living along the coast.

Ministry of Water Resources and Meteorology spokesman Chan Yutha said that if weather conditions will be as what the ministry has forecasted, it would not affect the Royal Water Festival.
