HANOI, Dec. 1 (Xinhua) -- Vietnam reaped nearly 3.2 billion U.S. dollars from exporting fruits and vegetables in the first 11 months of this year, up 43.2 percent on year, Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development said on Friday.

Vietnam's four biggest fruit and veggie export markets included China with a market share of 75.6 percent, Japan, the United States and South Korea.

Recently, more developed markets have approved the import of fruits from Vietnam, including the United States (star apples), Australia and Japan (dragon fruits).

Also in the 11-month period, Vietnam spent nearly 1.4 billion U.S. dollars importing fruits and vegetables, surging 72.3 percent on year, mainly from Thailand with a market share of 57.1 percent and China with 17.9 percent, with key Chinese veggies being potatoes, cabbages and lettuces.
