Beijing, China (FN), Dec. 1 - Chinese President Xi Jinping has expressed his strong support to the leadership of Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen, vowing to further develop Cambodia.

The announcement was made during his meeting with PM Hun Sen in Beijing, China, on Friday.

The president said in the meeting that what he wants to hear from PM Hun Sen is the peace and political stability of Cambodia.

President Xi Jinping added that regardless of what the West regarded Cambodia, China announced to continue to help Cambodia, especially supporting the Prime Minister to further lead the government and the Cambodian People's Party.

He added that Cambodia-China relationship have been better than ever, and both sides continue to strengthen people-to-people relation.

2018 is the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries and both sides have pledged to strengthen the cooperation.
