Phnom Penh (FN), Dec. 2 - Ministry of Culture and Fine Arts and the Union of Youth Federations of Cambodia (UYFC) has brought back the Angkorian jewelry from London, United Kingdom, to Cambodia on Saturday morning.
Upon arrival at the Phnom Penh International Airport, a parade was conducted to transport jewelry to preserve at the National Museum.
UYFC official said that the handing over ceremony of the Angkorian jewelry was made at the Cambodian embassy in London, between the art dealers in England and Cambodian representatives.
On November 18, 2016, after receiving news that Cambodian's Angkorian jewelry were sold in London, Cambodian government submitted a request to reclaim them, and the U.K dealing agency agreed to return them on April 20, 2017.
