Phnom Penh (FN), Dec. 12 - Within the first eleven months of 2017, Cambodia exported more than 150,000 tons of dry rubber, an increase of 31%, amounted up to $250 million, compared to the same period in 2016, according to the official report of the General Department of Rubber, Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries on Tuesday.

In 2016, only 140,000 tons of rubber were exported, profiting $180 million.

The General Department of Rubber reported that for the past eleven months of 2017, Cambodia harvested 152,962 tons of rubber with an exported average price of $1,625 per ton.

By 2017, Cambodian rubber plantations covered 440,000 hectares of land.

Cambodia exports rubber to China, Vietnam, Singapore and Malaysia.
