Phnom Penh (FN), Jan. 8 – Chinese government granted and offered the equipments worth over $1 million for testing the water and environment in Cambodia, especially strengthen the capacity of testing center of Ministry of Environment (MoE).

The grant was made during the meeting between Eang Sophallet, under-secretary of state of MoE and 5 Chinese experts on Monday at Ministry of Environment.

Chinese experts led by Wang Dongsheg, deputy director of Chemical Defense Research Institute and Research Center for Eco-Environmental Science (RCEES) of Chinese Academy of Science (CAS) and working group of MoE, from department of water management and department of toxic substance, and testing center of general department of environmental protection.

On the behalf of Environment Minister, Eang Sophallet expressed the appreciation and thank to the Chinese Academy of Science (CAS) which grant aid and technical assistance include testing equipments of water and environment in Cambodia, especially strengthening the capacity of testing center of MoE.

On February 26-27, 2018, Cambodia Ministry of Environment and Chinese Academy of Science will sign the MoU.
