Phnom Penh (FN), March 17 – In a meeting with outgoing North Korean Ambassador to Cambodia Hong Ki Chol in the morning of March 17, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs Hor Namhong told the North Korean Ambassador that Cambodia was too busy and did not have adequate time for a visit by North Korea’s President of the Parliament and the Minister for Foreign Affairs.

Chum Sounry, spokesperson for Foreign Affairs Ministry told the press after the meeting that Hong Ki Chol had told Namhong that North Korea’s President of Parliament and the Minister for Foreign Affairs would like to visit Cambodia and also would like to invite Prime Minister Hun Sen to visit North Korea.

In his reply, Namhong said Prime Minister Hun Sen was too occupied with many meeting and visits and so did not have enough time yet to receive the North Korea’s President of Parliament and the Foreign Minister. However, Namhong said the proposed visit could be considered some other appropriate time.
