Phnom Penh (FN), March 24 – Construction of the first skyscraper and housing complex in a suburb of Phnom Penh Capital with a total cost of $150 million was kicked off today, March 24, in a groundbreaking ceremony and is expected to be completed in 2018.

Tang Kung, General Director of TANG KUNG GROUP said the huge housing development project located in the center of Takhmao Town, about 15km from Phnom Penh down town, on a large parcel of land of 15,463 square-meters surrounded by a 10,668 square-meter public park together with a 27-floor modern architectural condo will also include 60 business shops, eight commercial buildings, a super market and 484 housing units.

The Director General said that after completion, the complex known as the Center City Takhmao will become a modern civilized housing center with international standard of comfort and safety composed of business, services and entertainment spaces in response to the need in the modern age.

The Center City Takhmao housing project is a joint venture between Tang Kung Group that is the first real estate company in Cambodia with ample of experience in real estate development and housing construction focusing mainly on quality and an investment partner from Malaysia that owns the Riverside Groups in Melbourne, Australia.
