Phnom Penh (FN), July 18 - Even though Cambodia is in election period, many foreign investors, particularly Chinese, see opportunities and potential everywhere in Cambodia.

Chinese investors, on Wednesday, have partnered with Cambodian investors to establish setup a new company in health sector, especially cancer treatment.

"I am confident to invest in Cambodia even amid election as you can see Cambodia now is stable, so it's not a risk to setup a company in Cambodia,” Zhang Yi, President of Anderson Biotech & Royal OncoCare Grand spoke a the grand opening ceremony Wednesday.

"The decision to establish this new company was made due to Cambodia’s rapid growth in Asia, and I hope that the cancer treatments provided by the company will serve well in the country and the region," he added.

Koy Lepo, CEO of K-Link International, said that due to Cambodia's political stability, investors from China flocked to invest and establish companies in Cambodia even before or after the election.

Heng Bun Kiet, Director of the Department of Drugs, Food and Medical Equipment and Cosmetics of the Ministry of Health, expressed gratitude for Chinese investors to invest in Cambodia, especially in health sector. The company will not only provide cancer treatment service, but also employment opportunities to Cambodians.
