Phnom Penh (FN), July 29 - Neth Savoeun, General Commissioner of National Police said Sunday that Cambodian general election in the sixth mandate 2018 was concluded with security and order.

Over 20,000 polling stations nationwide were held smoothly, without threat, intimidation, and violence.

Approximately 80,000 police were deployed to ensure safety during the election; not a threat, according to Phnom Penh Municipal Police Chief Chuon Sovann.

He said that electoral situation in 2018 was even better than the previous mandate 2013, in which violence occurred at some polling stations.

The 6th National Assembly Election began from 7:00 am to 3:00 pm, 29 July 2018. It concluded with over 80% turnout, which reflects the wills of people in ensuring peace and development.
