Phnom Penh (FN), Aug. 9 - H.E. Senior Minister Prak Sokhonn, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation received a courtesy call on Minister of Foreign Affairs, Cooperation and East African Community of the Republic of Rwanda Louise Mushikiwabo and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Guinea Mamadi Toure on Thursday morning at the ministry in Phnom Penh.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokesman Ket Sophann said that Louise Mushikiwabo is seeking Cambodia’s support for her as Secretary-General of Organisation International de la Francophonie (OIF) and that the election is held on 11-12 October 2018 in Armenia.

Louise Mushikiwabo said that if she wins the election, she is committed to strengthen cooperation between the two countries, especially focusing on youth, and balance the political and conomic aspects.

Louise Mushikiwabo and Mamadi Toure visited French-speaking countries in Indochina such as Cambodia, Laos and Vietnam to seek support for the candidacy of Secretary-General of OIF. They visited Cambodia on the 9th of August.
