Phnom Penh (FN), August 14 - President of the Constitutional Council Im Chhun Lim and Chairman of the NEC of Cambodia Sik Bun Hok sent a letter dated on Tuesday to one another confirming that both institutions did not receive any qualified complaints from any participating political parties.

They confirmed that the official election result will be announced on 15 August 2018 as scheduled, for no qualified complaints submitted.

According to Article 131 of the Law on the Election of Members of National Assembly, representatives from any participating political parties may file complaint on partial or whole preliminary results of the election to the NEC or to the Constitutional Council within 72 hours after the announcement of preliminary election results.

The preliminary result announced by the National Election Committee (NEC) on 11 August 2018 after multiple verifications indicated that voter turnout in the 6th mandate National Assembly members election 2018 has increased from 82.89% to 83.02%, an equivalent to 6,956,900 voters among the 8,380,217 registered voters.
