Phnom Penh (FN), Sept. 24 - Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen on Monday morning received a courtesy call of outgoing Chinese ambassador to Cambodia Xiong Bo at the Peace Palace.

Xiong Bo said that during his two-year mandate, Cambodia has grown rapidly in all areas, especially Cambodia-China cooperation in a strategic framework, according to Eang Sophalleth, personal secretary to Prime Minister.

Ambassador added that he had coordinated the visits of Chinese President Xi Jinping and Primer Li Keqiang to Cambodia; and visit of Prime Minister Hun Sen to China. His mission also contributed significantly to the belt and road initiatives as well as brought about fruitful results from other cooperations.

Cambodia-China friendship is “iron-clad”, the premier underlined thanks to mutual interests and respect.

Prime Minister Hun Sen thanked the people and the Chinese government for their support and assistance for Cambodia.

Cambodia-China relations have been significantly enhanced since the signing of the comprehensive strategic partnership in 2010, driven by geopolitics, common economic and security interests, and history and culture.
