WASHINGTON, Oct. 16 (CGTN) -- Hurricane Michael death toll rose to 29, said police in the US state of Florida on Tuesday.

Dozens are still missing in Mexico Beach area where Hurricane Michael made its landfall.

The number of fatalities was expected to rise further as rescuers are combing through decimated buildings, said local authorities.
