TAIPEI, May 31 (Xinhua) -- Fifty-two Taiwan residents have been arrested in Turkey for alleged fraud, said Taiwan authorities on Tuesday.

Taiwan received a report from Turkish police on Monday that the 52 people were arrested in Izmir in western Turkey.

According to Turkish police, the suspects allegedly installed monitoring cameras near ATM machines to steal people's passwords.

Dozens of Taiwan telecom fraud suspects have been arrested in Kenya and Malaysia this year.
