PHNOM PENH, June 3 (FN) -- Cambodia's six top athletes will compete at the Olympic Games in the Brazilian megacity of Rio De Janeiro in August, a senior sports official said on Friday.

They are taekwondo female-player Sorn Seavmey, female-wrestler Chov Sotheara, female-swimmer Hem Thon Vitiny, male-swimmer Pou Sovichea, male-runner Neko Hiroshi, and female-runner Ly Nary, said Vath Chamroeun, secretary general of the National Olympic Committee of Cambodia.

"Six athletes will contest at the Olympic Games. Among them, only Sorn Seavmey has clinched Olympic berth after beating the threat of Elaine Aloes in the Philippines in April, while another five athletes have been allowed to compete at the Games as wild cards," he said in a press conference.

According to the official, the athletes will leave for the Rio Games on July 29.
