YANGON, Nov. 22 (Xinhua) -- A man illegally running an overseas recruitment agency has been arrested in Myanmar's Yangon, the official Global New Light of Myanmar reported Thursday quoting the police force.

The man was arrested for the case at an apartment in Mayangone township on Tuesday where 38 women were found awaiting passports and overseas employment arrangement in Singapore, Malaysia and Japan by the license-revoked General International Company which the male suspect illegally operated.

The police said the company had been dissolved on Jan. 30 for breaking recruitment rules.

The Department of Labor has filed a case at the local police station against the man and the company for illegal recruitment of migrant workers to work overseas.
