Phnom Penh (FN), Dec. 11 - Within the first 11 months of 2018, Cambodian government had collected about 8,222.87 billion riels (US$2,055.71 million), achieving 106.88% of the plan with exceeding revenue of US$132.33 million, according to the General Department of Taxation (GDT)’s report released at the monthly meeting on Monday.

At the meeting, Vibol urged legal reform implementation and fiscal administration modernization through information technology, in particular, the implementation of amended legal instruments.

He also recommended the GDT to strengthen and improve enterprise audit work; to enhance the value-added tax recovery mechanism; effectively implement revenue mobilization strategy 2019-2023; and promote people’s understanding on taxation.
