Phnom Penh (FN), Dec. 16 - Deputy Prime Minister Hor Namhong led a delegation to attend the 4th Mekong-Lancang Cooperation (MLC) Foreign Ministers’ Meeting to be held on 16-17 December 2018 in Luang Prabang, Lao People’s Democratic Republic, according to the ministry’s press release dated Friday.

​The 4th MLC Foreign Ministers’ Meeting, under the theme “Enhancing Partnership of Shared Prosperity”, aims to review the progress of the implementation of the Five-Year Plan of Action​ of the Mekong-Lancang Cooperation (2018-2022) and to discuss the future direction of this cooperation for sustainable development in the Mekong Subregion.

​At the conclusion, the Meeting is expected to adopt two documents: Joint Press Communiqué of the 4th MLC Foreign Ministers’ Meeting; and Progress Report of the Year 2018 on Implementing of the MLC Five-Year Plan of Action.

​During his stay in Lao PDR, Deputy Prime Minister Hor Namhong will have a bilateral meeting with H.E. Mr. Wang Yi, State Counsellor and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China.​
