PHNOM PENH (FN), June, 9 – Japanese world-class football star Keisuke HONDA is scheduled to arrive at Phnom Penh International Airport at 11:30 am this morning, June 9, 2016 via a flight on on EVA Air, Khieu Sameth, Deputy Chairman of the Football Federation of Cambodia (FFC) told the press earlier this morning.

The purpose of this first visit to Cambodia by the Japanese footballer was to launch a football training class in Cambodia with a view to sharing experiences and techniques with Cambodian footballers so that they could become top-level players and as qualified as those playing for professional European clubs such as the AC Milan, Italia-Serie A, explained Mr. Sameth.

The 28-year-old Mr. Honda will meet with the Chairman of the FFC, Senior Gen. Sao Sokha, before he proceeds to a football field located in Indra Devi High School in the afternoon to share his playing experiences and techniques with around 40 young Cambodian players, according to a Facebook post by Mr. Chan Mithona, FFC Information Officer.

Keisuke HONDA is the fourth world-class footballer to visit Cambodia after Bobby Chartlon, Deco and David Beckham who have come to Cambodia to share experiences with Cambodian football players and to do some humanitarian missions at the same time.
