Phnom Penh (FN), August 3 – Immigration Police officers of the General Department of Immigration this morning of August 3, 2016 went on with their raids and arrest of foreigners who were found illegally living and working in Cambodia. As a result, 16 Vietnamese and 2 Filipinos were arrested.

Maj. Gen. Ouk Hay Seila, head of Investigation of the police general department stated that this operation was coordinated by Sieng Sok, Presecutor attached to the Phnom Penh Municipal Court and that two locations in Boeung Trabek district, Khan Chamkamorn, Phnom Penh were searched. The arrested includes 2 Filipinos, one female who illegally settling without passports and 16 Vietnamese, three female, living and working at NU NU Cafe’ Shop also without proper documents.

The arrested were sent to the General Department of Immigration for further actions according to legal procedures, Gen. Seyla said.
