Phnom Penh (FN), August 18 – Phnom Penh Municipal Court decided to put a Romanian national and another Nigerian in temporary detention on August 18, 2016 pending further investigation in a case related to trans-border trafficking of close to 5kg of cocaine.

Anti-drug police identified the two suspects as VARADI ADRIAN-CALIN, 35, a Romanian national and CHUKWUE MEKA, 35, a Nigerian.

The two suspects were arrested by anti-drug police on August 14, 2016 at Phnom Penh International Airport. Police said the two imported the drugs into Cambodia from Brazil on flight QR970.
