PHNOM PENH (FN), September, 6 – Three passers-by were injured in an explosion that occurred under a parking vehicle on street 163, Beung Keng Kang III , Chamkar Morn district, at around 19:40 pm, according to police’s preliminary report.

Senior General Chuon Sovann, Phnom Penh municipal police commissioner told Fresh News that of the three injured, one was an Indian national identified as DHARMENDRA SINH KSHETRIMAYUM, male, 35, a teacher, and the other two was a Vietnamese man and a Cambodian woman whose identities have not yet been determined. The Indian was immediately taken in an ambulance to Russian Hospital.

Police has not made an arrest of any suspect yet and motives behind the attack have not yet been determined, since investigation is still on-going. However, preliminary conclusion by police is that the attacker might have lodged a grenade under the vehicle which was partly damaged together with two others parking nearby.
