PHNOM PENH (FN), September 12 – A Malaysian national was arrested and over 1 kg of meth was seized at Phnom Penh International Airport by customs authorities in collaboration with other relevant authorities, a senior official of the General Department of Customs told Fresh News earlier today.

The drug trafficker was bound for Macao, China. The drug was found by police in plastic wrap and tied up to the thighs of both legs of the suspect, the customs official said.

The suspect was identified as Ahmad Johari Chung, born on 14 October 1993 I Sabah, according to a copy of his passport. Further interrogation by police is ongoing.
