HOUSTON, Dec. 5 (Xinhua) -- A United Airlines plane on Sunday landed in San Antonio, Texas, after its nose gear collapsed, with no serious injuries of passengers.

The plane landed at San Antonio International Airport at around 2:56 p.m. (2056 GMT), and all the 55 passengers aboard were safely evacuated, according to ABC13 TV.

The airport confirmed the accident, saying that it was United Flight 494 that had the landing gear problem.

The runway remained closed pending an investigation.
