Phnom Penh (FN), May 19 – Cambodian prime minister Hun Sen told Indian prime minister Narendra Modi that he wants to see war between Russia and Ukraine end soon, for the war affects the world, especially on food security and energy.

Premier Hun Sen held a talk with Modi on Wednesday via video conference.

During the meeting, Indian premier Narendra Modi underlined India's role as a mediator on the Russia-Ukraine conflict, saying that he had met with the presidents of Russia and Ukraine in the past to discuss how to restore peace.

Premier Hun Sen said that Modi will continue to play a vital role in promoting the dialogue between Russia and Ukraine in the future.

The Russian-Ukrainian war has been prolonged for almost three months.
