Phnom Penh (FN), Jan 24 - Cambodia has exported 145,200 tons of rubber worth of over $180 million, according to a report released on Jan. 23 by the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries.

Rubber exportation is predicted to increase gradually in the following years.

The price of rubber is between 6,500 riel to 7,000 riel (over $1.7) per kilogram. Despite the downfall of rubber plantation in the past eight years, it is now improving.

The Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries states that the increase of rubber's price is a result of a higher demand from the world, especially United States and China.
