Phnom Penh (FN), Jan 25 – A commission that works on providing legitimacy to Cambodians currently working and living in Thailand, through the announcement by Ministry of Labour dated Jan. 24, 2017, requested Cambodian workers in Thailand to acquire legal documents.

According to the announcement, in order to get the document, worker has to bring the pink card updated with Thai authority from April 1 to July 28, 2016 and present it to the Secretariat of the Commission located in Cambodia’s Embassy in Bangkok. Workers also can apply for that document online through www.cambodianworker.net.

Based on the agreement between Cambodia and Thailand, in order to get the document, each worker has to pay 950 Baht ($27) to the Commission and 500 Baht ($14) to Thai’s Immigration Office.

Today, the commission has assisted 231,626 workers in acquiring passport, transportation, and work permits to work in Thailand and looking forward to assisting our workers in compliance with the procedures set by Thai authority.
