Phnom Penh (FN), Mar. 27 – Malaysian prime minister Dato’ Seri Anwar bin Ibrahim praised the wise leadership of Cambodian prime minister Hun Sen, who contributed to ending the civil war and achieving rapid development in the kingdom.

Anwar spoke during a joint press conference with premier Hun Sen, on the outcomes of the bilateral meeting, on Monday (Mar. 27) at the Peace Palace.

"I believe in the wise leadership of Samdech, for he could maintain peace in the difficult time in Cambodia, which we can compare to the current situation in Myanmar," Anwar underscored.

Dato’ Seri Anwar bin Ibrahim arrived in Cambodia at 9 am on Monday (Mar. 27) for a one-day official visit at the invitation of Cambodian prime minister Hun Sen.

The visit of prime minister of Malaysia to Cambodia is believed to lend a new impetus to the robust all-round bilateral ties between the two countries and will contribute to the maintenance of peace and stability in the region as well as to the continued development and prosperity of the ASEAN Community and beyond.
