Phnom Penh (FN), March 4 — The Khmer Times, a famous English-Cambodian newspaper, is planning to sue The Cambodia Daily regarding allegations that Chen Lip Keong, president of the Naga Corporation, and Hun Manit are paying thousands of dollars to the Khmer Times.

On March 2, The Cambodia Daily published an English article concerning leaked confidential communications  between the Khmer Times, Hun Manit, and the president of Naga Corporation.

The Chief Operative Officer of the Khmer Times stated that the company has had their lawyers review the allegations and that they plan to sue The Cambodia Daily for publishing fake news.

The Cambodia Daily is the first newspaper company in Cambodia to publish in English, while the Khmer Times has been publishing in both languages for three years.
