Phnom Penh (FN), March 24 - Foreign Minister Prak Sakhonn and China's Ambassador to ASEAN Xu Bu expressed concern over terrorism in the region caused by extremist Islamic groups.

The concern has been made during the meeting between Prak Sakhonn and Xu Bu at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) on Friday afternoon.

“In the meeting, the two foreign ministers mainly discussed on regional security. They considered terrorism by extremist Islamic groups a big threat to regional security and that all member countries of ASEAN shall work together to ensure regional security,” according to Khan Pharith, MoFA's under Secretary of State.

“Prak Sakhon and Xu Bu also discussed bilateral cooperation and appreciated each other's diplomacy through the exchange visit of leaders of both countries. The visit of Xi Jinping, Chinese President, to Cambodia in 2016 resulted in many signed agreements between the two countries,” he added.
