Phnom Penh (FN), April 5 – The Ministry of Economy and Finance and the Ministry of Tourism decided to sell tickets through online for those who wish to visit Angkor Wat, according to the press release.

The decision was made at the board meeting of the Angkor Enterprise on Wednesday morning under the chairmanship of Aun Pornmoniroth, minister of economy, and Thong Khon, minister of tourism.

Angkor Enterprise profited $62 million in 2016, an increase of 4.21% compared to 2015.

According to the press release, visitor’s rate increased by 9% and revenue rate increased by 51.6% respectively in the first quarter of 2017 compared to 2016’s.

The collection of revenues in the first quarter of 2107 was $30 million, an equivalent to 30.4% of Budget Law 2017 and donated $1 million to Kantha Bopha Children's Hospital.

The meeting highly evaluated Angkor Enterprise on the launching process of IT management that will facilitate audition and ensure transparency and accountability of sale management.
