GAZA, April 6 (Xinhua) -- The security forces of Islamic Hamas movement in the Gaza Strip hanged on Thursday morning three Palestinians, who were convicted by a Hamas military court of being collaborators with Israel, Hamas interior ministry said.

"A court death penalty sentence was implemented against three collaborators who were hanged," the interior ministry said in an emailed press statement.

The three convicts, 55, 42 and 32 years old respectively, were all from the Gaza Strip, according to the statement.

"The permanent military court in Gaza had made the death sentence which was approved by the supreme court," said the statement, adding they were "hanged for treason, collaboration with a hostile foreign body and conspiracy."

The three admitted that they passed sensitive information to Israel, which caused killings of activists and destructions of mosques and homes, said the statement.
