Phnom Penh (FN), Sep. 28 – At the invitation of Cambodian prime minister Hun Manet, Thai prime minister Srettha Thavisin arrived in Phnom Penh on Thursday morning (Sep. 28) for his first official visit to Cambodia.

Both prime ministers held bilateral talks aimed at charting a course of action to further deepen and expand the extensive spectrum of mutually beneficial ties under bilateral and multilateral frameworks at the Peace Palace.

Srettha Thavisin will also pay separate courtesy calls on acting head of state and president of the Senate Say Chhum, president of the Supreme Privy Council to the king Samdech Techo Hun Sen, and president of the National Assembly Khuon Sudary.

The first visit to Cambodia by Srettha Thavisin as prime minister will further strengthen bonds of traditional friendship and elevate multifaceted cooperation between the two nations, guided by the spirit of "Enhanced Partnership for Peace and Prosperity which delivers mutual benefits to the two peoples and contributes to the promotion of peace, stability, and prosperity within the ASEAN Community and beyond.
