Phnom Penh (FN), April - Prime Minister Hun Sen recognized China for its significant roles in global trade, economy, and politics Tuesday during the launching of Chinese President Xi Jinping's book.

The book is entitled "Xi Jinping: China's Good Governance."

In 2016, Chinese trade rose to $3.7 billion, an equivalent of 10.5% of total global trade.

Chinese foreign investments reached $170 billion, making it the second biggest foreign investor in the world.

"China became the foundation of the global economy and stabilized the region through globalization and free trade," stated the premier.

China has emphasized living standards and sustainable economic growth in the region through connectivity and productivity initiatives such as: One Belt One Road, Maritime Silk Road, and the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank.

China contributed infrastructure projects like highways, railroads, ports, water ways, and airstrips in Asia and throughout the region.

These accomplishments demonstrate China's governance and its leadership roles.
