Phnom Penh (FN), April 18 - The Cambodia National Rescue Party (CNRP) will meet to examine and discuss the amendment of the party's criteria and to elect new Vice Presidents, according to CNRP's spokesman Yem Ponharith.

The decision was made following meetings held by the CNRP's standing and steering committees.

"We will hold a congress on April 25 to amend our party's criteria," stated Ponharith.

"We will also select new Vice Presidents," he added.

The Ministry of Interior (MoI) legitimately recognized Kem Sokha as the president of CNRP on April 5, 2017.

The MoI, however, did not recognize CNRP’s Vice Presidents – Pol Ham, Mu Sochua, and Eng Chhay Eang, as their elections violated Article 47-New of CNRP’s criteria.
