Phnom Penh (FN), May 20 – Mok Chito, the Deputy Commissioner of the National Police, confirmed that the kingpin of a transnational drug trafficking ring will be due in court this evening.

More than 50 kg of drugs, including methamphetamines, heroin and pills, were found in a house in front of Wat Samrong, Phnom Penh Thmey, Khan Sen Sok, Phnom Penh.

The ensuing investigation led security forces to identify the kingpin as a hotel owner in Ratanakiri Province.

The suspect was arrested Thursday afternoon on charges of drug trafficking.

The suspect was sent to the Department of the Ministry of Anti-Drug for legal action.
