Svay Rieng (FN), May 20 – Svay Rieng's six special economic zones are home to 69 investment projects.

The projects have attracted over $313 million in investment capital and created 43,000 jobs, according to a report from the Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC).

Sok Chenda Sophea, the Secretary General of CDC, Hidehisa Horinouchi, the Japanese Ambassador to Cambodia, and Samiuela T. Tukuafu, the Director of the Asian Development Bank (ADB), paid visits to several factories within the special economic zones yesterday.

The CDC said that investment projects include garment manufacturing, bicycle and bicycle components fabrication, electrical and electronic component assembly, and of paper and packaging materials, and medical equipment and souvenir production.
