Phnom Penh (FN), May 22 - Naveen Srivastava, Indian Ambassador to Cambodia reassured the quality of the black ink to be used in the election.

"The black ink to be used in the commune-council election was used by 1 billion Indians and that there was no problem," stated the ambassador.

"Cambodia should be confident about the ink," he added.

The statement was made during a farewell meeting with Prime Minister Hun Sen on Monday at Peace Palace.

NEC has spent nearly $800,000 on the ink and is prepared to use it in the upcoming election.

Sik Bun Hok, Chairman of the National Election Committee (NEC) reiterated that there are more effective methods on top of the high quality black ink.
