Pursat (FN), May 29 – A provincial court has ruled to detain the chief of the CNRP Provincial Executive Committee, Chan Senghurt, after questioning.

He faces one to three years imprisonment in addition to fines.

Chan Senghurt allegedly struck a child on Saturday evening while driving his Pajero in Veal Veng district and then left the scene.

The 6 year-old boy sustained a cracked skull.

The suspect was apprehended 40kms from the scene.
