Phnom Penh (FN), June 4 - Hang Puthea, a spokesman for the National Election Committee,    verified that over 22,000 polling stations opened at 7am this morning.

Prime Minister Hun Sen voted in Kandal Province. Kem Sokha, the president of CNRP, voted in Phnom Penh.

Polling stations will be open from 7 am to 3 pm.

Hang Puthea urged all registered citizens to go to vote.

Approximately 74,671 observers, including 384 international observers, will monitor the election process.

Over 105,348 party agents will distribute and collect ballots.

Upwards of 37, 000 security forces will be deployed to protect polling stations,  ballots, and to ensure public safety.
