Phnom Penh (FN), June 15 – The 7th Annual Phnom Penh International Half Marathon will take off on June 18, 2017.

As of Thursday morning, the National Olympic Committee of Cambodia (NOCC) had nearly 5,000 participants register for the event.

Vath Chamroeun, Secretary-General of NOCC, said that of the 4,648 registrants, 4,003 are Cambodian and 645 others are foreigners from 31 countries.

Today is the last day to register in front of the Royal Palace. Running kits and ID cards will be distributed from June 16-17.

The Half Marathon Is held annually to celebrate the Her Majesty the Queen’s Birthday and to promote a clean environment and city.

The registration fee will be donated to Kantha Bopha Children’s Hospital.
