Phnom Penh (FN), June 20 - The President of the National Assembly, Heng Samrin, categorically rejected allegations that lawmakers from the Cambodia National Rescue Party had their immunity status violated when they were arrested.

"I absolutely support immunity for any lawmakers who act legally, but not those who violate the law,” he said.

Two opposition lawmakers, Om Sam An and Hong Sokhour, were detained amid accusations they were involved in fomenting fraudulent public documents, such as the Border Treaty.
