Phnom Penh (FN), July 5 - Sok Eysan, a spokesperson for the Cambodia People's Party (CPP), stated that the country has and will continue to grow regardless of Sam Rainsy's political involvement.

He added that Sam Rainsy has not helped Cambodia, but has instead requested that the European Union cut aid and stop importing clothes made in Cambodia.

"Cambodia progresses was made by CPP without any help from Sam Rainsy," stated Sok Eysan.

"In post-1993 politics, Sam Rainsy used anecdotes to create misleading propaganda, and led a series of demonstrations, and protests, causing instability in the country," he added.

Sam Rainsy was exiled from Cambodia in November 2015.
