Sihanouk Ville (FN), July 14 – Sihanoukville police chief Choun Narin has taken steps to prevent further incidents by banning the sale of fireworks and flying lanterns.

The rule comes in response to an increase in accidents and injuries from explosive fireworks. It's been deemed that they continue to harm safety, security, and public order, especially international and native visitors.

A Coast Guard Tower was also burned down due to explosive fireworks.

General Chuon Narin called on all vendors to stop selling fireworks and flying lanterns and will strictly enforce the rule for effective measures.
