Phnom Penh (FN), July 18 – Worldbridge Group Chairman, Sear Rithy, signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Kamaz FTC, Russia's largest auto corporation, to become the exclusive importer and distributor of Kamaz vehicles in Cambodia.

“The project will be divided into three phases:
Phase 1 – both parties will do market research for 3-5 months; Phase 2 – we will import Kamaz vehicles to Cambodia ,
Phase 3 – we will build an assembly plant in Cambodia”, stated Sear Rithy.

“Importing the heavy vehicles will allow citizens to profit from tax. The autos are high quality and thus do not require many repairs as long as they are properly maintained.

Over the next 3 years, we will plan on creating an auto assembly plant in the country.

Doing so will make the cars more affordable, people will become more familiar with the brand and we will build a strong customer base as well," he added.

“Through the signing of this MoU, we will begin to export the Kamaz autos to Cambodia. As demand for transportation grows, the need of car becomes more necessary”, stated Tronin Artem, sales representative of Kamaz FTC.

The MoU was signed on July 17 at the sales office of Oxley Worldbridge, presided over by the Russian ambassador.
